Three Wheeled Buggies
Whether you're seeking a buggy to run around in or a compact stroller for strolls around the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies provide great mobility. Their compact design allows them to be maneuvered easily, even in tight spaces.
For a smooth ride, opt for a pram that has air-filled tyres and look for models with 360deg front swivel wheels. However, they are susceptible to punctures so be prepared with a repair kit.
Frame made of sturdy material
New data show that three-wheeled buggies, the symbol of the decade that were more expensive than common sense, are in a steep decline. Four-wheelers have replaced them, and are more flexible and simple to drive while still looking elegant.
The basic principle is that the larger the wheels are, the easier it'll be for your buggy to deal with rough ground and bumpy pavements. The larger wheels on both the front and back also makes it much easier to manoeuvre and more stable when walking downhill or on rough terrain.
3 wheeler buggy tested this buggy with an infant as well as a child who was 3 years old and found it extremely sturdy. It was able to handle grass, cobbles and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it is sturdy to push and is very stable when going over difficult terrain. Its tyres, which are inflatable and need to be pumped up regularly and have a suspension built-in. This was extremely comfortable for my children.
The size and shape of the seat is another thing to consider. You will want it to be big enough for your child's comfort. You will also want it to be able to recline to allow them to lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat, which allows the child to face you, whereas others only allow a face-to-parent one.
The Roma Atlas is a great option for off-road and muddy walks. It can be used as a single from the beginning and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family expands. It is suitable for babies and toddlers until age four and comes with a bumper bar, raincover, a better 5-point harness and a spacious cushioned seat. The storage options are great as well, with a decent-sized basket, zip pockets in the hood and a handy pouch on the back of the seat unit.
Wheels with a greater diameter
Larger wheels mean your buggy will have more stability on rough terrain - perfect for buggies designed for off-road use. They also make it easier to move the pushchair around tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have the front wheels that swivel to aid you in maneuvering around tight corners, while others are designed for running and come with fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability at which they can be driven. This is particularly useful when you crash into the kerb or a tree. The front wheel will be lifted slightly to prevent hitting it.

Many 3 wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres that allow them to navigate a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They are also lighter. They are more prone to punctures, and you'll need to have a repair kit and spare inner tube on hand.
Some of our favourite 3-wheelers include the Mountain Buggy Core and Venicci Carbo Lux. Both of these buggies come with larger wheels that, as per MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on grass, gravel tracks and market town cobbles" and are able to effortlessly go up and down kerbs. They also have a suspension system that, in her words "smoothes out bumps very effectively".
Buggies with bigger wheels can be quite large, and may struggle to fit into tight spaces. This can be an issue especially if you're using it to a jogger or you need to maneuver through narrow doorways when out and out and about. Luckily, most models have small folding options that let you take off the front wheels for more compact storage.
Easy to maneuver
One of the main benefits to a three wheel buggy is that it can be much more maneuverable, especially with a child in tow. The way they are built ensures that the front wheels turn at a whim and are extremely maneuverable and are ideal for difficult terrain such as parks, cobbles, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried out a three-wheeler with her toddler and newborn and stated: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough ground with the swivel rear wheel being particularly helpful. I was also impressed with the way it handled kerbs, especially when using the brake operated by hand. It was extremely stable when for descending or on uneven terrain."
The only drawback to this great maneuverability, is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy can sometimes make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something to be aware of when you live in a city. If this is an issue then a four-wheeled buggy might be a better option for you.
Bumper bar
Bumper bars are a great method to shield your child from bumps and scrapes when out and about. They are easy and quick to put up and help your child feel safe and secure whilst out on the town or tackling tough terrain.
Designed to complement the sleek lines of your Slim Twin stroller, this bumper bar has a soft and cushioned surface that provides a comfortable spot for your child to hold onto when walking. The sturdy construction and durable design ensure that your child will enjoy a stroll without worrying about falling out of the buggy or leaning too far ahead.
The fabric sling seat sits in the frame, snugly as opposed to sitting on top like modular seats. It provides the lowest centre of gravity at the appropriate height for your newborn and also delivering excellent weight distribution for easy kerb pop (it requires less effort to push a buggy up and over a curb than you might think). MFM reviewer Kath said it's ideal on cobbles and grass. It's also a good option for running thanks to its air-filled tyres as well as a the lockable swivel wheel.
This bumper bar is sure to make heads turn wherever it's utilized. It has a sophisticated and fashionable look. It's available in a variety of colours and finishes to match your style. It comes with a simple quick-release mechanism that makes it easy to remove and install the bumper bar as necessary. Additionally the bumper bar is easy to clean and is constructed of durable materials that are easy to clean. This makes it an excellent option for families looking for an attractive and secure accessory for their stroller.
Comfort
A 3-wheel buggy offers the best in maneuverability and performance when you go off-road. This type of buggy is simple to steer and turn in a flash thanks to its perfect geometry, engineering, and weight distribution.
The clever design of the Sport places the sling seat made of fabric inside the frame, instead of over it like modular seats. This lets it have a lower center of gravity and makes it easier to push, has a lighter curb-pop (you will not need to put in much effort to push the buggy's nose over a curb) and also provides greater stability and balance. And with the huge 16'' rear wheels, lockable swivel front wheel and air filled tyres that require just a few pumps to give you smooth, bump-free rides over rough terrain and a smoother and more comfortable jog as well.

And that's not the only reason to adore this buggy It's also a great way to get around - our MFM reviewer Kath was amazed by how big it is as well. There's a big easily accessible basket that's quite spacious for a buggy of this size and there's an easy-to-use pouch that zips up on the rear of the seat and even 2 smaller mesh pockets under the hood for your phone and keys.
